AMD: Nome in codice Instanbul

Oggi AMD ha annunciato quale sarà la sua prossima generazione di processori:
AMD Opteron a 45 nm, dotati di architettura a 6 core, nome in codice “Instanbul”.
sarà disponibile dalla seconda metà di quest’anno, e Instanbul sarà il solo processore con architettura x86 6 core disponibile per sistemi anche superiori ai 2 e 4 socket.
la dimostrazione dal vivo ha fatto notare un upgrade ben riuscito dal processore Quad-Core AMD Opteron a 45 nm “Shanghai” al nuovo AMD Opteron a 45 nm, “Instanbul”.
